We accomplish this by offering a challenging and diverse college preparatory curriculum in a Christian private school setting dedicated to respect, reveal, and develop the inherent dignity and worth of each individual student in a dynamic as well as nurturing environment. Our PurposeThe purpose of James Run Christian Academy is to provide an academic program at the high school level through a traditional teacher/classroom setting in the context of traditional Judaic-Christian values and behavior. With this purpose in mind, our program offers academic excellence consisting of thorough instruction in the basic disciplines, the development of sound study habits, and the opportunity to be challenged by increasingly complex subject matter -- all integrated with a Biblical worldview. Our supplemental co-curricular programs benefit the overall development of each student's intellectual, physical, emotional, social and spiritual development. Our Statement of FaithJames Run Christian Academy was founded and functions upon the basic fundamental principles of the Word of God. The following statements of faith are held by every James Run Christian Academy employee and are acknowledged by each school family.
Our HistoryThrough the support of many churches, volunteers, parents, students, and community organizations our school began in 1995 with the vision of providing a Christian education to students in a high school setting. James Run Christian Academy became a parent owned independent Christian school with its own board in 1998, and graduated its first class in 1999. The name James Run Christian Academy was chosen by the students of the school, because of its proximity to the James Run Stream. In 2006, Bel Forest Christian Academy and Church in Bel Air, MD extended an invitation to partner with them. Together, this partnership provides a system of Christian education covering students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Our Faculty and StaffBecause of the quality and experience of our faculty, and the personal instruction and guidance given, we believe that students will find a challenging and balanced academic program at James Run.
